Ο Κωνσταντίνος Πετρίδης γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στο Κολχικό (Παλάφσα) του Λαγκαδά. Από τον πατέρα του έλκει την καταγωγή του από το Αγρίδι και το Αργαλί Τραπεζούντας ενώ απ την μητέρα του απ την Τσιμερά Τραπεζούντας. 

Η αφοσίωσή του στο ποντιακό τραγούδι ξεκίνησε από μόλις 13 χρόνων τραγουδώντας σε μουχαμπέτια και πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις της περιοχής, καθοδηγούμενος από τον παππού του Κώστα Πετρίδη, παλιό λυράρη του χωριού. Τα πρώτα του ακούσματα περιλάμβαναν τους ήχους του παππού του καθώς και των συγχωριανών του, Χρήστο Αϊβαζίδη (Αϊβάζ’) , τον αδερφό του Ανέστη Αϊβαζίδη, τον Γιώτη Γαβριηλίδη και άλλους. Από πολύ μικρή ηλικία εντάχθηκε στο χορευτικό του Ποντιακού Συλλόγου Κολχικού και συμμετείχε στις θεατρικές παραστάσεις. Αργότερα υπήρξε χορευτής και στην Ένωση Ποντίων Λαγκαδά και περιχώρων. 

Την ίδια περίοδο, ξεκίνησε μαθήματα λύρας με τον Πόλυ Εφραιμίδη ο οποίος τον βοήθησε πολύ και αργότερα στο τραγούδι.

Konstantinos Petridis was born and raised in Kolchiko (known as Palafsha) , Lagadas, Thessaloniki. On his father’s side, his roots trace back to Agridi and Argali of Trabzon (Trapezounta), while on his mother’s side, they originate from Tsimera of Trabzon (Trapezounta).

His devotion to Pontian music began at the age of 13, when he started singing at mouhabetia (traditional Pontic gatherings) and local cultural events, guided by his grandfather, Kostas Petridis, an old lyra player of the village. His earliest musical influences came from listening to his grandfather as well as to fellow villagers such as Christos Aivazidis (Aivaz’), his brother Anestis Aivazidis, Giotis Gavriilidis, and others. From a very young age, he joined the dance group of the Pontian Society of Kolchiko and also took part in theatrical performances. Later, he became a dancer with the Pontian Society of Lagadas.

Around the same time, he began taking lyra lessons with Polis Efremidis, who greatly helped him — not only with the instrument but later also in developing his singing.
