Η Ειρήνη Σαχταρίδου γεννήθηκε την 18/07/1998 στην Κοζάνη και μεγάλωσε στον Άγιο Δημήτριο Κοζάνης (Τοψιλάρ’) έχοντας από τα πρώτα της κιόλας παιδικά χρόνια, έντονες ποντιακές παραστάσεις, τόσο από την παρχαρομάνα γιαγιά της, Σοφία Σαχταρίδου (Σανξαρίνα) όσο και από τις υπόλοιπες θρυλικές παρχαρομάνες αλλά και τους γέροντες του χωριού.
Ακόμα ηχούν στα αυτιά της ως νανούρισμα οι μελωδίες της ποντιακής λύρας και του αγγείου, από τα πολλά μουχαπέτια που ήταν σχεδόν θέμα ημερήσιας διάταξης, στην αυλή του πατρικού της στο Τοψιλάρ’ και στις γειτονιές του χωριού.
Η βιωματική της σχέση με την ποντιακή παράδοση σε συνάρτηση με το ανεξάντλητο ταλέντο της, παρά το νεαρό της ηλικίας της, είχαν ως αποτέλεσμα να αποδίδει σήμερα με το αγγείο της, σκοπούς της ιδιαίτερης πατρίδας των προγόνων της (Ματσούκα) με μοναδικό τρόπο (ίσως η μοναδική γυναίκα). Αγαπητή στο κοινό, με σπάνιο ήθος και χαρακτήρα αποτελεί πρότυπο για πολλά νέα παιδιά.
Έχει στο ενεργητικό της μια δισκογραφική δουλειά, με τίτλο «Σεβταλοδαρμένον», με τον γνωστό Πόντιο τραγουδιστή Παναγιώτη Θεοδωρίδη, με τον οποίο σήμερα συγκαταλέγονται στα κορυφαία καλλιτεχνικά δίδυμα.
Η Ειρήνη, γνωστή στον ποντιακό κόσμο και ως «η μικρή Σανξαρίνα» , μετρά στο ενεργητικό της ήδη πολλές εμφανίσεις στον Ελλαδικό χώρο αλλά και στον Απόδημο Ελληνισμό (Αμερική, Γερμανία) συνοδεύοντας κορυφαίους εκφραστές της ποντιακής μούσας. Παίζει επίσης νταούλι, λύρα και χ̌ειλιαύρι.
Η ποντιακή μουσική δεν αποτελεί αυτοσκοπό, αλλά στάση ζωής για αυτήν. Ευχή και συνάμα όνειρο της, η ποντιακή παραδοσιακή μουσική να εξακολουθεί να συγκινεί, ιδιαίτερα τους νέους ανθρώπους, στους οποίους και απευθύνει κάλεσμα, να μυηθούν όσο καλύτερα γίνεται στην ιστορία, τον πολιτισμό, τη μουσική παράδοση των προγόνων μας.
Για το λόγο αυτό δημιούργησε και τη σχολή εκμάθησης αγγείου e-aggeion με μαθητές από όλο την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.
Irini Sachtaridou was born on July 18, 1998, in Kozani and grew up in Agios Dimitrios Kozanis (Topsilar’). From her earliest childhood years, she was deeply immersed in Pontian traditions, thanks to her grandmother, Sofia Sachtaridou (known as Sanxarina), a legendary *parcharomana* (mountain shepherd woman), as well as other renowned women and elders of the village.
She still recalls, as if they were lullabies, the melodies of the Pontian lyra and the aggeion (bagpipe) from the countless mouhapetia (social gatherings) that were almost a daily occurrence in the yard of her family home in Topsilar’ and throughout the village.
Her experiential connection with Pontian tradition, combined with her remarkable natural talent—despite her young age—has led her to perform, with her aggeion, the musical themes of her ancestral homeland (Matsouka) in a unique way—perhaps as the only woman to do so. Beloved by audiences and known for her rare character and integrity, she serves as a role model for many young people.
She has released one album titled "Sevtalodarménon”** in collaboration with the well-known Pontian singer Panagiotis Theodoridis, with whom she now forms one of the top artistic duos in the Pontian music scene.

Irini, also known in the Pontian world as "the young Sanxarina", has already performed extensively across Greece and among the Greek diaspora (in the United States and Germany, accompanying leading figures of Pontian music. She also plays the daouli (drum), lyra, and shiliavrin (small flute).
For her, Pontian music is not merely an artistic pursuit but a way of life. Her wish and dream are for Pontian traditional music to continue to move people—especially the younger generation—to whom she extends an open invitation to delve deeply into the history, culture, and musical traditions of their ancestors.
To this end, she founded the e-aggeion school, an online academy for learning the aggeion, with students from across Greece and abroad.
For her, Pontian music is not merely an artistic pursuit but a way of life.
