Christos Ioannidis - Χρήστος Ιωαννίδης
(http://ellas2000.de)
Christos Ioannidis was born on September 7, 1978. His family is from the Kato Poroia, Serres. About the age of 9 or 10 he acquires his first musical stimulus from his father playing Pontian clarinet. He then attended classical music lessons and intensively studied Byzantine music for several years. Since then he has discovered that besides the keyboards, he has a talent in singing. Timidly, he begins to play and sing at the same time at various events. At the age of 15 he accompanies with the keyboards various artists at local festivals. He has collaborated with all the well-known Pontian musicians and singers. He has released a CD titled "The Karslidika of Giorikas". He lives and works in Cologne, Germany, and has spent eighteen years in the Greek entertainment with the band Εllas 2000 (ellas2000.de) (https://www.facebook.com/Ellas2000music/) where he sings and plays songs covering a large spectrum of the Greek music tradition. His weakness in old “laika” songs and of course in Pontian music is obvious! Radio Trapezounta Boston would like to cordially thank Christos Ioannidis, Akis Tsaousidis and Tasos Tsaousidis for their participation and for their great video!
