Newport Winter Glendi 2023

The Newport Winter Glendi 2023 took place at the Wyndham Newport Hotel in Middletown, Rhode Island on January 21, 2023. 

Some of the distinguished guests attending the annual dance benefitting the Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church of Newport, Rhode Island were Rhode Island State Senator Leonidas Raptakis, the Consul General of Greece from Boston Symeon Tegos, and the Governor of Rhode Island Daniel McKee. 

The Master of Ceremonies for the evening was the president of Saint Spyridon's Greek Orthodox Church Elaine Holder. 

Greek traditional dances were performed by dance groups representing Cranston and Newport, and the dance group of the Pontian Society "Pontos" of Norwalk Connecticut performed Greek Pontian dances. 

Entertainment was provided by Fotia.Live. Pontian music was performed by Vaggelis and Michael Pesiridis with a special guest appearance by Steve Kyriakides.

Το Newport Winter Glendi 2023 πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Wyndham Newport Hotel στο Middletown του Ρόουντ Άιλαντ στις 21 Ιανουαρίου 2023.

Μερικοί από τους εκλεκτούς καλεσμένους που παρακολούθησαν τον ετήσιο χορό προς όφελος της Ελληνικής Ορθόδοξης Εκκλησίας του Αγίου Σπυρίδωνα του Νιούπορτ του Ρόουντ Άιλαντ ήταν ο Γερουσιαστής της Πολιτείας του Ρόουντ Άιλαντ Λεωνίδας Ραπτάκης, ο Γενικός Πρόξενος της Ελλάδας από τη Βοστώνη Συμεών Τέγος και ο Κυβερνήτης του Ρόουντ Άιλαντ Daniel McKee.

Παρουσιαστής της βραδιάς ήταν η πρόεδρος της Ελληνικής Ορθόδοξης Εκκλησίας του Αγίου Σπυρίδωνα Elaine Holder.

Ελληνικούς παραδοσιακούς χορούς παρουσίασαν τα χορευτικά συγκροτήματα που εκπροσωπούσαν το Cranston και το Newport και το χορευτικό συγκρότημα του Ποντιακού Συλλόγου «Pontos» του Norwalk Connecticut παρουσίασε ποντιακούς χορούς.

Τη μουσική διασκέδαση ανέλαβε η ορχήστρα Fotia.Live ως και ο Βαγγέλης και ο Μιχάλης Πεσιρίδης με special guest εμφάνιση ο Στηβ Κυριακίδης.
